Paul Kneebone, Soprano Cornet
Paul started playing the Cornet at the age of seven (over 30 years ago!) whilst in the Salvation Army in Plymouth. He returned to banding in 1993 with Pendennis Brass after a break of 9 years, before moving to St Stythians Band. He joined St.Keverne Band on Soprano Cornet in September 2004.
For the last 21 years Paul has worked at Falmouth Docks. He is currently employed as a Personnel Manager. Recently Paul has just retired from playing senior football in the County after over 600 games.

Kelvin Retallack, Cornet
Kelvin Joined the band in 1992 and has been taught by Henry Medlyn, David Loukes and Derek Greenwood. He has been the bands Principle Cornet since 1999, winning best cornet at Bugle and Truro Contest. Kelvin has also been a member of the Youth Band since it's inception in 1994.
Kelvin is employed as a Plumbing and Heating Enginneer by a large local based firm. In his spare time he is a keen snooker player and enjoys socializing and clubbing whilst giving many an exhibition on the dance floor!.

Richard Hatton, Cornet
Richard started playing the cornet when he was about 9 years old. He joined and was a founding member of the youth band about a year later. After Richard had moved up through the ranks he moved onto Soprano cornet for both the youth and senior bands for 9 years. He now currently plays Solo cornet for the senior band.

Kate Tregenza, Cornet
Kate joined the band in 2003 as a front row cornet player, she has never looked back!. Kate works at Cornwall College and is also very much into her large buses and lorries. Her dream job would be to drive one all day long!. She is a fine asset to the band.

Andrew Belfield, Flugel
Andrews first contest was when the youth band won the BBC Radio 2 Youth Brass Band of the year in 1998. He has also played in 4 national finals with the band, twice playing on 3rd cornet, once on 2nd and the other on Repiano Cornet.

Claire Churcher, Horn
Claire joined the band in 1989 and was taught by Henry Medlyn, David Loukes and Derek Greenwood. She has been the bands Solo Horn since 1995, winning the BBC Young Soloist award in 1998 and the Brass section of the Cornwall Young Musician. Claire is also a founding member of the Youth Band.
Claire is employed as an accountant in Falmouth.

Bobby Richardson, Horn
Described by Derek Greenwood as the shrewdest signing he ever made,
Bobby caused a sensation on his arrival at St.Keverne on Ox Roast Day 2001, for at the time he was the secretary and messiah like figure in Falmouths Finest Pendennis Brass. Amazingly despite his athletic build and pin-up good looks Bobby remains single. He is currently running his own electrical empire and also does a lot for charity, which he doesn't like to talk about!!.
When asked what he'd most like out of life, he simply replied "World Peace!".

Gareth Churcher, Trombone
Gareth was born in 1983 and joined the band in 1997 on Second Trombone. Since then he has progressed to Solo Trombone and has held the position to date.
Gareth works as a music teacher for many local schools and in his spare time enjoys writing music, playing the Piano, shooting and socializing.

David joined the band in 1994 on cornet then moved to trombone in 1996. He is employed as an Industrial Civil Servant and in his spare time enjoys hunting.

Amy Ravenscroft, Baritone
Amy started playing at the age of 11 with Porthleven band on the flugel and then had a brief period on euphonium. She then moved onto Baritone, which she still plays after joining St.Keverne band in 2006.
Amy is currently studying at Cornwall College towards a diploma in Health and beauty therapy.

Angela Retallack, Euphonium
Angela joined the Youth Band in 1994 on Baritone, she was asked to join the Senior Band in 1995 and has been an active member ever since. Angela played 1st Baritone for most of this time until September 2003, when she moved to Solo Euphonium. She was taught by David Loukes.
Angela is also a Pianist of considerable ability, playing since she was 7.

Paul Villers, EEb Bass
Paul was 14 when he started on the Tenor Horn. After many years on Horn he changed to the Baritone for a brief spell and then moved onto EEb Bass, which he currently still plays. Paul has played for many bands, including Lanner, Penzance, Newquay, Bodmin, Illogan and Porthleven.

Alan Retallack MBE, BBb Bass
Alan joined the Band in 1963 and was taught by the late Gordon Harris. He spent 2 years at Camborne Band under the direction of Derek Greenwood in the late 1970's. Alan has been the Band Manager for the last 14 years of St.Keverne Band.
Alan is employed by the B.T. Group at Goonhilly Satellite Station as a Duty Shift Engineer.
Alan and Marilyn got married in 1976 and have 4 children who all play or have played in St.Keverne Band, before moving away from St.Keverne.
